Sudoku Book Puzzle Generator
User Guide
Create printable Sudoku puzzle books.
Choose your puzzle settings, generate a batch, review the first page preview, then save the puzzle pages and answer key as PDFs from the browser print dialog. The tool is designed for printable puzzle books, worksheet packets, and low content interiors.
How To Use
- Enter a book title. This title appears at the top of the puzzle pages and answer key pages.
- Choose a difficulty level: simple, easy, medium, hard, or very hard.
- Select the page size and orientation. Use custom size if you need a trim size that is not listed.
- Choose how many puzzles should print on each page.
- Enter the number of pages, up to 100. The app multiplies pages by puzzles per page to calculate the total puzzle count.
- Turn page numbering on or off.
- Select Generate Puzzles and wait for the unique-solution check to finish.
- Use Puzzle PDF for the puzzle pages, and Answer Key PDF for the solved version.
Unique Solution Guarantee
Each puzzle starts from a completed Sudoku solution. Numbers are removed one at a time, and the app keeps a removal only if the solver confirms the puzzle still has exactly one solution.
This means the generated puzzle should not have multiple valid answers. The check happens automatically during generation.
Harder difficulties have fewer starting numbers, so larger books may take longer to generate.
Page And Puzzle Layout
- Page size controls the final print dimensions used by the browser print dialog.
- Puzzles per page controls how many numbered Sudoku grids appear on each page.
- Number of pages controls the length of the puzzle section. The maximum is 100 pages.
- Page numbering adds a small page number at the bottom of each printed page.
Saving PDFs
When you select Puzzle PDF or Answer Key PDF, your browser opens its print dialog. Choose Save as PDF or your browser's equivalent PDF option.
The puzzle PDF and answer key PDF are created separately so you can upload, print, or package them however you prefer.
Pro Tip: Open exported files in a PDF editor to customize even further.
Always review the preview and generated PDF before publishing or printing a full book.
