Edgecrop

User guide

Edgecrop
Quick Start

Crop extra space from multiple images in one organized workspace.

Edgecrop helps you clean up product photos, graphics, and transparent images by removing unwanted empty space around the main artwork. Add your images, review the previews, adjust the settings if needed, and download the finished files.

Input

Add Images

Drag images into the upload area or choose a batch from your computer. You can add multiple images at once and add more later if needed.

Review

Compare Previews

Each image shows an Original preview and a Cropped preview. Use these side by side to confirm that Edgecrop is keeping the right content.

Export

Download Results

Download one cropped image at a time, or use Download all to save the full batch together.

Step By Step

How to use Edgecrop

1
Upload

Add your images

Drop your images onto Edgecrop or select them from your computer. The selected images will appear as preview cards.

2
Adjust

Set the crop tolerance

Increase Tolerance if a faint border or off-white background is still visible. Lower Tolerance if the crop is cutting too close to the subject.

3
Refine

Add padding if needed

Use Padding when you want a little breathing room around the cropped image instead of a tight edge.

4
Choose

Select the output type

Choose PNG, JPG, or WebP before downloading. PNG is a good choice for transparent images. JPG is useful for photos. WebP is useful when you want smaller image files.

5
Save

Download your cropped images

Use the download button on a single image card to save one result, or use Download all to save every cropped image together.

Tolerance

When to change it

Use a higher setting for backgrounds that are almost, but not exactly, the same color. Use a lower setting when the main subject has light edges that should be preserved.

Background Sample

Corners or top left

Use Corners for most images. Try Top left when one corner best represents the background you want removed.

Transparent Edges

Keep this on for PNGs

Leave Prefer transparent edges enabled when working with transparent artwork or product images that already have a clear background.

Tips

Getting the best results

  • Review the Cropped preview before downloading a large batch.
  • Add a small amount of padding when images will be used in a catalog, store listing, or design layout.
  • If the crop removes too much, lower Tolerance or add Padding.
  • If the crop does not remove enough, raise Tolerance or try a different background sample option.
  • For transparent product artwork, PNG usually gives the cleanest result.
